The screen grab below is an example of an Internet Explorer TotalBlock User Administration window.
Run your mouse over the image for explanations of each table and its contents. Each entry in the history table is explained.
These buttons enable various functions to be carried out. You can suspend blocking, search the tables etc.
This table contains the user's settings. The user can set blocking on and off, change history retention etc.
This table has an entry for each mail, domain and IP address that is either allowed or specifically blocked. The user can add, amend or delete entries. A user will mostly allow this administration to be automatic.
History is retained in this table for the user default time. It shows actions taken by TotalBlock. A user can browse these pages.
This mail has been allowed because there is an entry in the allowable sources table. The entry may be there because the sender received an email, or because the user deliberately added it.
This mail has been rejected with a response for the sender to identfy themselves. The sender's mail system received the message, so the sending mail address is valid.
The sender's mail has been rejected. The sender's mail system did not receive the identification challenge, so the sender's email address is invalid.
